Nine Foreign Tourists Killed in Gilgit-Baltistan, Taliban Claim Responsibility

This is not the first harrowing experience that I've had in this country. Nonetheless, compared to this, perhaps the rest are not a tad worth mentioning. Despite having had a definitive decision on getting to the northern areas from the outset, now the plans are almost thwarted - in part due to personal fear and then comes the official policies on movement of foreign tourists within the northern areas in days to come.

I never had doubt that I have always been very strongly-opinionated, and have thus stood my grounds on the issue of tourism in Pakistan, for almost everything and everyone I have encountered in the past weeks never failed to change my perception of the country for the better. Yet, in light of this incident, I find my conviction wavering.
