Disembarkation: Pakistan.

Everyone warned me against coming here. I'm glad I hadn't cowered into alternative corners on Earth like many do. I've had my reservations on this decision, but currently I can safely say that I'm over that phase.
Apprehension had dissolved some time ago - the moment I touched down at Quaid-E-Azam International Airport. Never mind the heat and the constant power cuts, beyond the walls of international media lies a uniquely laid out canvas of dizzying colors - a country heavily misunderstood has much to offer.
Besides all the unconditional hospitality and kindness that I've received thus far, to be integrated into this foreign society with no qualms at all, there lies a mysterious, well-embraced beauty in the name of the commonly misread religion - Islam. The virtue held by the majority and the culture so mesmerizing; these are the aspects that invite, yet hardly ever touched upon.
These are all on top of being a country having four seasons to indulge versatile travelers, a country with colonial-era architecture alongside modern skyscrapers, yet never short of natural wonders for adventure seekers. Pakistan is, in other words, easily more than K2.
I am new, so I seek to understand further the simmering desire for change in this people, and record observations as an objective bystander. But I conclude this post with a predominantly positive note, for I am immersing in a land so rich in its trademark art, yet so unjustly underrated.
