This would be the beginning of a very awesome journey across 5 Southeast Asian countries. Singapore - Malaysia - Laos - Myanmar - Thailand.

(Though it was only a brief stay in Malaysia)

Four more days before school would reopen. Already craving for a freedom from life.

Life, i.e. the commitments & the obligation to excel.

Fastidious pursuit of something that's not meant to be is particularly dreadful.

Perhaps the stock framework of "success" is so firmly rooted that any deviation from it would not be tolerated, or at the least, would induce a misery so profound, should a deviation actually occur.

That's all to be said for now, for as the school term starts, the competitive spirit is kindled. This very attitude is too ambivalent, for it either sparks a driving force, or dejection when demands are not met.

Editing travel photographs has so far not been a complete remedy, as can be said about all the uplifting books to be read at will.
