Day #2: Mui Ne
This shall be a really short post. An uneventful day. I noted down one fact in my journal though. How you're constantly at others' mercy when you didnt have some self-reliant form of transport to fall back on, in a country so big. This day alone - I spent more than 50k glorious VND on motorbike taxis (which excludes the bus ride from HCMC to Mui Ne). Guess this'd spur me to get my OWN motorbike license.
This is the thing: I purchased an open bus package for USD42, which included the journeys Saigon - Mui Ne - Dalat - Nhatrang - Hoi An - Hue. Eventually I'd unravel what actually happened to this pathetic package. A lesson I wish to state in advance: Open bus tours arent meant to be off the beaten path. Take it the rugged way. Personally, I feel that getting a journey all planned out right from the start wouldnt make a gratifying experience. Another thing to state about open buses - they take you to places where everyone else would likely be going to, major cities, I mean. Isnt really awesome to be herded around with fellow travellers huh?
Ok. Shall end here. It's getting dry. Realise I've got no more photos for this day to share...
