27-May-2012 Food at Mandalay.
"Made in Myanmar" Breakfast. Literally, yes. Everything there is made in Myanmar. Such a self-sufficient country indeed. The jam likely came from Pyin Oo Lwin, but the salt shaker, the coffee, the banana... But lunch was made in Thailand.
Fish to go with hard-boiled egg. What's worse than falling ill when in Mandalay, when everything seems miles apart on a sweltering afternoon.
Dinner yoghurt dessert & Indian mutton murtabak. The dessert's price was a tad on the high side but it was really quite worth it. Haven't tried anything quite the same before. That red thing tasted like Bandung & it cost like 1000kyats. Hmm.
In real time I need to be drinking coffee & doing assignments in a while. It's amazing to relive the traveling days, but it hits hard coming back to reality.
