Day #2: Hanoi to Lao Cai (20-Jun-2011)
random shots. simply because there was nothing better to take.
start out the day with the awesome pineapple women. beware!! i see contempt on that face. yes, & ignore the disgusting overexposure!!
so should this seriously be converted into a food blog?! -.-||| but it's ok, nice food deserve to be featured.
i love these to-be-tombstones even more. there was a street solely dedicated to shops selling these. wondering if the demand would even meet the supply. who knows, Hanoi is highly populated right? They've gotta go somewhere eventually..
Hanoi market from the top. Cho Dam, was it? Really not in the mood to write. Oh well.
Hanoi streets.
It's amazing how smacked in the centre of this bustling city, there exists a lake like this. Not your typical tranquil place, but better than none. Not forgetting how its banks was a good place to sit & eat lychees. But really, lychees are grossly overpriced in Hanoi, try getting them elsewhere.

(Above) Cosmetics gone wrong.
(Above) The point isn't the pathetic composition of this photograph, but how the 2 boys on the right are playing with the flowers. Didn't mummy teach them that boys shouldn't mess around with flowers? If only we'd be unperturbed for the rest of our lives, like them.
Lotteria - a must-try. Fancy going to Vietnam for fast food. Cannot deny that it was a worthy buy though. Shrimp burger that looks SO like a cheap stop motion prop.

On to Lao Cai (then Sapa) by overnight train. A truly memorable journey..
